Order is an important part of Lean Production. In accordance with 5S and Poka Yoke, Binar has developed the product Tool Holder, which tells you when the tool is to be used and ensures that it has been used. To prevent tools from getting lost, returning of the tool is also monitored.
The operator should not have to look for or ask which tool to use (5S). Place the holder directly at the work station so the tools are close at hand when they are to be used.
Use standard tool holders that are available for the most common tool boards, with square holes of 9 × 9 mm and a CC dimension of 38 mm. Make sure that the tool hangs stably and is easy to grip.

Return the tool when the green indicator light is blinking green.
